Lambert Bridge Winery

Lambert Bridge sits nestled just west of the Dry Creek, among redwood forested hills and rolling vineyards. Their high-quality, limited production wines are only found in their tasting room. From their lavish gardens to their intimate picnic vistas and vaulted redwood tasting room, Lambert Bridge was designed to be shared. Drop by for a tasting or come for one of their blending seminars, cooking classes, or wine and food pairings.

Join them for a tasting in their beautiful redwood barrel room or sit next to their striking fireplace to warm up. Another reason we love visiting Lambert Bridge during the holidays is their attention to detail in decorations. One step into their tasting room and you’re filled with the holiday spirit – complete with a perfectly decked tree and cheer to be had by all – decorations go up on November 28th! Their tasting room is exactly where we’d like to be in the afternoon, especially with a glass full of their Dry Creek Valley Zinfandel.

Comstock Wines

Talking about cozy tasting rooms, let’s head to Comstock next. Comstock Wines was inspired by the fundamental passion to grow and source only the best Sonoma County grapes, and transform them into wines that are as delicious as they are memorable. Bob and Sandy Comstock began growing grapes in Dry Creek Valley in 2002 and the winery opened its doors in 2015.

Featuring Zinfandel, Cabernet Sauvignon, Pinot Noir, Merlot, Sauvignon Blanc, Viognier and Chardonnay, Comstock Wines strives to highlight the unique characteristics of each varietal. At Comstock’s fireplace during the holidays you overlook into the vineyards and upon their beautiful residence (available to wine club members!). Not to mention, their holiday gift packages help you check everyone off your list.  Festively packaged with hand written holiday notes, these Gift Sets will be the favorite of the season.

West Wines

Next it’s time to head to West Wines to celebrate Scandinavian Christmas! West Wines owner Bengt & Katarina have one foot in Wine Country and the other in Sweden. With this celebration they’re able to celebrate both! Traditionally, Scandinavian Christmas takes place the 4 weeks leading up to Christmas, but at West you’ll want to visit them from Nov. 24-26 in their cozy tasting room for the whole experience – complete with Glögg, hot spiced wine, cookies and Swedish Christmas decorations.

You will also find gifts for the holidays such as genuine Swedish Christmas decorations, wine glasses, champagne flutes, wine glass charms and of course wine. We recommend West Seafoam, their sparkling wine, Late Harvest Viognier dessert wine as well as their vertical collection of Cabernet Sauvignon Reserve and Magnum Reserve bottles.

Amista Vineyards

Back into the heart of Dry Creek Valley sits Amista, Dry Creek Valley’s main sparkling wine producer. We don’t know what could be more festive than a glass of bubbles over the holiday season, or really anytime. Amista produces a variety of unique, estate grown sparkling wines ranging from the classic Blanc de Blanc to Sparkling Grenache and even Sparkling Syrah all made in the Méthode Champenoise style.

Plan ahead and walk through a self-guided Vineyard Adventure Walk of their property and come back to a seated Wine & Food Pairing featuring local cheese and perfectly curated pairings. Amista roughly translates into “making friends,” which to us, is one of the many things good wine is meant to do.

Ridge-Lytton Springs

Ridge Vineyards, Lytton Springs, Dry Creek, Sonoma County

Our last stop is at the acclaimed, Ridge-Lytton Springs estate. Surrounded by beautiful 115-year-old vines, the eco-sustainable Lytton Springs Winery stands as one of the most unique sites in all of Sonoma County’s wine country. A natural extension of Ridge’s commitment to sustainable vineyard and winery practices, this remarkable facility (built of straw bales and vineyard clay, and primarily solar-powered) is a wonderful environment in which to experience their exceptional single-vineyard wines.

For the holidays, Ridge has put together the perfect “Holiday Pairing Feast” that will impress all of the wine connoisseurs in your family. This year features international flavors with six holiday favorites from around the world. The gift pack comes complete with the recipes for each dish and the perfect wine pairing. This is the ideal gift for the enthusiastic connoisseur or passionate home chef. Taste the wines at the tasting room and come home with this beautiful Ridge gift box for yourself or your friends.
